Lack of challengers means automatic re-election for Tom DiSarno of Jupiter Inlet Colony

JUPITER INLET COLONY — No challengers have filed to run for two commission seats in this oceanfront town, allowing the two incumbents to win another term.

Golden Bear Realty’s own Thomas DiSarno won for the 4th consecutive term as Seat 2 Town Commissioner for Jupiter Inlet Colony. The election would have been Feb. 16 in the north county community of about 380 residents. Candidate filing closed Wednesday.

Jupiter Inlet Colony is a single-family residential community encompassing 0.2 square miles on the southern most end of Jupiter Island. It is bordered by the Jupiter Inlet, Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean. Residents enjoy a peaceful and secure community life with their own police department.

Tom DiSarno, a seasoned Realtor for Golden Bear Realty in North Palm Beach, sold Mayor John Zuccarelli’s home in Jupiter Inlet Colony to Grease sweetheart, Olivia Newton-John, and her husband, John Easterling in June 2009.
